Dear Parents:

St. Pius X Catholic School is very proud of our students and teachers.  It has an excellent reputation as a Catholic elementary school.  As many parents have shared and as our teachers have witnessed in the classroom, the academic curriculum provided at St. Pius X is outstanding when compared to many of the schools your children attended while evacuated from the storm.  This can be attributed to the outstanding and dedicated faculty and staff who provide a challenging academic program, extra-curricular activities, and close personal attention for your children.

Due to the unexpected and unfortunate circumstances that so many of our families suffered through this past year, Monsignor Doskey and I have decided not to raise school tuition for the 2006-2007 school year.  In addition, it has been determined that in order to qualify as a supporting parishioner this year, the amount you should have contributed prior to December 31, 2006 has been reduced from $500 per family to $300 per family.  We recognize the personal sacrifices you and your family make as parents to provide a Catholic education for your children at St. Pius X.  We appreciate your commitment to St. Pius X during these difficult times.  Please know that we are still committed to the same standards of excellence that are a tradition at St. Pius X Catholic School.   

Registration for returning students and their siblings will be during the week of February 7-10th.  Please be prompt in returning the registration forms and fees so that you can secure spots for your child/children for the coming school year.  Because of the difficulty in communication, we ask that you please convey this message to all St. Pius X families that are presently out of the area and plan to return to St. Pius X in August.  They may call the school office, 282-2811, to make arrangements to register their child/children during that week. 

Open House for prospective students is scheduled for Sunday, February 12 at 1:30pm.  While we will have advertisements and signs posted, your positive word about our school is our best advertisement.
